How To SellIn order to sell equipment at Waste Equipment Exchange, you must be a Registered Member and understand the Consignment AgreementOnce registered the steps to selling are easy. You simply answer a few questions, fill out the inspection form, attach the best pictures you can get and we do the rest. How Long: You can list your item for 7, 14, or 21 days, depending on your requirements. We have found the best length of time is 14 days. It will give a buyer a chance to view the item a number of times, arrange financing, and understand what transportation arrangements are required to get the purchase home. How Much: Most auction items will be sold un-reserved and start with an opening bid. We will work with you to establish an opening bid that is not too high or too low to discourage bidders, but reflects the true market value of the item. However, you have an option to place a reserve price on your item, which is the lowest price that you will sell the item for. This will ensure that if the item does not get to a level you expected you are not required to sell it. The fee for a reserve bid is located on our Seller Fees & Pricing. Listing Your Equipment: Once you decide how long you want to list you item for and if a reserve bid is required, you need to send us as much information on your item as you can, so that bidders can fully understand the condition of the item they are bidding on. We have prepared an Inspection Form (link to inspection form) that has a list of items that should be checked. By completing the inspection form you are letting bidders know exactly what to expect when they pick the equipment up and if they are going to ship, drive, or tow it home. When bidders are confident that they know the condition of a truck they are prepared to bid higher to win – it helps to have your equipment serviced before listing and make sure it gets noted in the description. We also need some pictures of your equipment to post with your description. Keep in mind that a bidder will show more interest in a freshly washed and detailed truck. Take the time to remove any debris inside the cab, body, engine compartment, behind the blade etc. To help you get the best response to your listed item, we have prepared some recommended picture positions. If you are selling an item that is titled or requires a permit under the Ministry of Transportation, then you are required to supply Waste Equipment Exchange with the original title or permit prior to having the item listed.
